PITTSBURGH – The Pitt Panthers are looking for revenge this weekend. With a trip to Western Michigan scheduled for this weekend, the Panthers want to fight back against a team that wound up in an otherwise stellar season. They have been talking to him all week about their further motivation for this game.
After West Michigan had more than 500 yards of offense and 44 points in a win at Heinz Field a year ago, the Panthers’ defense was under the microscope, and they know it. Earlier this week, safety Eric Hallett and defensive lineman David Green said the Broncos had “caught them off guard” during the 2021 game, lest they get burned like that again. It is a point of pride to do so.
Narduzzi said his first priority in the pits was to stop the run. He believes that effective running his game will open up Rampus his option play, which the Broncos have executed flawlessly in his 2021.
“We have to stop the run,” said Narduzzi. Their RPO — he can’t throw the RPO after running the ball. … They weren’t running the ball really early. I think they just threw up, which annoyed the kids and didn’t stop them from running. So it sells out when it stops running. ”
Stopping Running is a classic Narduzzi ethos tested against the talented and balanced running back tandem of Sean Tyler and La’Darius Jefferson, who Narduzzi likened to two Pitt rushers. One brings speed, the other power.
“One really fast guy and a bigger buck from 238 to 240 pounds,” he said.
The Panthers corner will have to battle again with Corey Crooms, the same receiver who gained 161 yards and a touchdown in the first game of this series.
“He’s their go-to on nearly every down,” Narduzzi said. as long as you can.
When Pitt has the ball, they get to look in the mirror. I finished in 1st place. His pressure rate has been inconsistent in his first two weeks of the season, but Narduzzi expects a lot of pressure.
“They put 60% pressure on Michigan and about 35% on Ball State. We’re expecting it, we’re ready for it, they think they can go home and we’re expecting a lot of pressure.

There was a lot of talk around this pit team about the embarrassment they suffered last year, but it’s not done by Narduzzi. I think we should. It’s about rebounding and revenge on this road trip.
“Like I said, do I need to say anything?” said Narduzzi. So you don’t have to say much
