New Vice President of Sports and Business Growth named at Visit Quad Cities

Visit Quad Cities today announced the appointment of Joan Kranovich as Vice President of Business Growth and Director of Sports QC.

She has been with the organization since 2009, first as an intern and then in various positions in the business growth department. According to Friday’s release, her new role will oversee the organization’s goals of driving economic development through the attraction, recruitment and hosting of conferences, conventions, reunions and sports her events.

Joan graduated from Western Illinois University Quad Cities with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration (RPTA) and a Master of Science degree in RPTA with a focus on Tourism Administration. In 2011, she obtained her Professional Certificate in Accredited Meetings from her Education Industry Council.

She is a Quad Cities Leader Under 40, National Connect Magazine 40 Under 40 Award Winner, Destinations International 30 Under 30 Award Winner, and National Public Broadcast Volunteer Management Award Winner.
