(West Windsor, NJ) — Winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, “Once” kicks off the 2022-2023 season at The Kelsey Theatre. The romantic musical drama runs over the weekend from September 23rd to October 2nd.

Presented by Playful Theater, ‘Once’ tells the story of a life in which an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant connect through a shared passion for music on the streets of Dublin. During her fateful week, unexpected friendships and collaborations quickly develop into powerful and complex romances, underscored by a gripping and emotional score. The show features his original songs from critically acclaimed films, including “Falling Slowly.”
The cast includes Ewing’s Danielle Bradley as host and Robbinsville’s Lilli Brown as Girl. Pittman’s Amy Ferencz as ex-girlfriend. Asbury Park’s Michael Gilch as Svek, Pennington’s Brian Hill as Guy, Jim Morris as Da, Daniel Mucha as Eamon, Rich Phillips as Billy, and Joan Shubin as Barska. Originally from Hamilton. Amanda Santos as Reza and Mina Schneider as Yvonka, both from Lawrence. Christopher Shinn of Bordentown as bank manager. Ewing’s Aidan Stallworth-Glitz as Andrej. François Sur of the ensemble Heightstown.
The show will be directed by Frank Ferrara and the music will be directed by Shannon Ferrara of West Windsor.

Kelsey Theatere is located on the Mercer County Community College campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor.venue It is wheelchair accessible and has free parking next to the building.
